We Mount Flatscreen TVs

That’s right! Here at Diaz Bros we are available to deliver and mount your brand new plasma, LCD or LED flatscreen TV even if you don’t purchase it from us! From time to time we receive inquiry about television mounting. Some of our most popular tv mounting questions are as follows:

What are the different types of mounts?
There are two different types of mounts, and we carry them both. There is the regular flat mount, which just sits flat against the wall. Then there is the fully articulating mount, which allows you to move your tv in, out, up, down, tilt, and rotate side to side. We recommend the fully articulating mount because the range of motion allows for viewing from a variety of angles. There is an additional $25 charge for fully articulating mounts.

If I already have my own mount, how much will you charge to install my new TV?
For starters, it is important to make sure that you have the proper mount for your TV. You should technically be okay if you search for and purchase a TV mount that fits your TV, but in some cases you can still wind up with a mount that is either too small or too large for your TV. Additionally, we have run into cases where the screws that come with the mount don’t fit.
Our standard charge is $75 to mount TVs, if you don’t purchase your TV from us. If you purchase a TV, we reduce this price by $10-$15, depending on what size TV you buy.

If I’d like to mount myTV myself, how much will you charge to sell me the mount?
We charge $75 for most mounts, depending on the size of the TV. Read the bottom of this page for more info on mounting.

I still want to mount my own TV. Is there any advice you can give me?
Sure! You will definitely need a drill to mount your TV, so make sure you have access to one before you get started.
TV mounts are measured using what is called the VESA standard, which runs from 100-800 by 100-800.  Most TVs fit 400×400 VESA mounts, but we’ve installed TVs needing 800×800 mounts when a 400×400 was anticipated. We understand the desire to cut costs. While we are more than happy to give you helpful information about do-it-yourself TV mounting, it is still recommended that you seek professional assistance.
